What Happens to Your Scrap After Collection?
Many people ask what actually happens after our team collects their scrap. The short answer: it is sorted, graded and directed into proper recycling channels, where metals are recovered and put back into use. Here is the journey in plain terms.
Step 1: Sorting by material
After collection, material is sorted by type — iron and steel, copper, aluminium, brass, cables, motors, appliances and machinery each go their own way. Sorting matters because each metal has different properties and different recycling routes, and clean, separated material is worth assessing accurately.
Step 2: Grading and preparation
Sorted material is graded by type, condition and quantity. Larger items such as machinery and structural steel may be cut or broken down for handling, while cables are separated into metal and insulation. This preparation is what turns a mixed load into usable feedstock for recyclers.
Step 3: Recycling and reuse
Recovered metals are melted down and refined, then used to make new products — from construction steel and electrical wire to vehicle parts and household goods. Recycling metal uses far less energy than producing it from raw ore, which is why keeping scrap out of general waste matters.
Step 4: Regulated materials handled properly
Batteries, electronic scrap and vehicle scrap are handled to applicable UAE requirements rather than mixed into general metal streams. If you have these materials, tell us in advance so they are collected and routed correctly.
Selling scrap responsibly
The process starts with a clear quotation and an organised collection — no obligation, and no need to deliver anything yourself. If you have material waiting in a villa garage, a shop, a warehouse or a factory, read how it works or about us, then send a free quote request and we will take it from there.
