How to Prepare Your Scrap for Collection in Dubai

If you have scrap to sell in Dubai or Sharjah, a little preparation before collection day goes a long way. It helps us assess your material accurately, keeps the visit short, and avoids a second trip. Here is a simple checklist that works for homes, shops, warehouses and construction sites.

1. Sort what you can, but do not worry about perfection

Separated material is faster to assess than a mixed pile. If you can, keep copper apart from steel, cables apart from general metal, and working appliances apart from broken ones. You do not need to strip cables or dismantle equipment yourself — rough separation is enough, and our team handles the rest on site.

2. Take clear photos before you call

Photos on WhatsApp make assessment faster and more accurate. Take one wide photo of the whole load and one close photo of the main material, in daylight if possible. Add your city and pickup area with the photos, and tell us roughly how much there is — a few items, a roomful, or a full truckload.

3. Make access easy for loading

Collection usually involves lifting heavy metal, so clear a path from the scrap to the nearest point a vehicle can reach. If the material is on an upper floor, in a basement car park, or behind a locked gate, mention it when you book so the team arrives prepared. For large industrial or warehouse clearances, an on-site contact who knows the material saves a lot of time.

4. Keep batteries and electronic scrap separate

Batteries and electronic scrap are handled to applicable UAE requirements, so please keep them apart from general metal and never mix damaged batteries into a metal pile. Tell us about them in advance and we will advise how they will be handled.

5. Know what happens next

Once you share the details, we assess the material by type, grade and quantity and send a clear quotation. There is no obligation to accept it. If you accept, we agree a collection time, our team loads the material, and the transaction is completed. You can read the full process on our How It Works page, or start with a free quote request today.
